VEHICLE FIT AND MOUNTING OPTIONS

Both Rock Racks ELITE LITE and ELITE PRO model racks share the same hitch mount. The Hitch mount comes standard with 2 optional hitch pin holes at 59mm and 99mm depth respectively to allow fit for almost all vehicle hitch receiver depths. Hitch mount also comes standard with 3 horizontal mounting positions allowing rack to be moved in 42mm increments closer to vehicle significantly reducing the load placed on vehicles tow bar while at same time reducing the risk of ground clearance issues with rear wheels on bikes

50mm SQUARE HITCH MOUNT

HITCH MOUNT requires vehicle to have a removable hitch tow bar that towing insert can be removed and bike rack inserted into hitch receiver HITCH MOUNT all come with Rock Racks Twin lock hitch lock system with side lock bolt and and hitch lock u-bolt plate to eliminate vertical and sideways movement and ensure rack is very tight fit inside hitch receiver HITCH MOUNT has 4 built in optional horizontal mount positions to allow rack to be be moved closer or further away from vehicle for a taylor fit to each vehicle.

DIRECT MOUNT - FLAT TONGUE TOW BAR (interchangable with hitch mount)

(only available for 2, 3 AND 4 bike models and can be purchased with 5 or 6 bike racks if vehicle has tow bar vertical load rating over 200kg) Direct Mount extra to buy with rack - Please see vertical bike racks main page for pricing DIRECT MOUNT is an option for vehicles that do not have a removable hitch tow bar. It requires the tow ball to be un bolted and rack direct mount bolts on using a large bolt (24mm) through the tow ball hole. It also has stabilising/anti twist cap screws on the side to ensure rack is securly locked in position and cant move. DIRECT MOUNT is the strogest and best option for mounting a vertical bike rack on flat tongue tow bar. The DIRECT MOUNT is interchangable with HITCH MOUNT and rack can easily be swapped between mounts by unbolting the 2 x M12x90mm that bolt rack base to the mount.
